Where to learn HTML5?

I am designing in HTML4,php for past few years.
Please let me know how can i upgrade myself to HTML5.
Also is it necesary to be upgraded?

HTML5 is still a work in progress. However, most modern browsers have some HTML5 support.

Its not very different from HTML 4.1. It just adds Video, Canvas and a lot of added functionality.
