People are constantly buying and selling in every market. Stay focused on the fundamentals, not daily or weekly moves in the market.

start looking for people who will trade goods (especially food) for silver. this may require some evangelism to awaken more people to understand the value of precious metals and the dishonesty of paper dollars.
To whom much is given, much is required. Communicate your understanding of fiat currency and precious metals to people in your communities — local farmers, small business owners, and church members (conservative denominations) may be your best prospects. Seek out a market for silver.
that would be silver, not gold. are you suggesting not to hold any gold? even with the trend of central banks and foreign governments moving away from dollars and turning to gold?

On a different note, a quick and easy fix for “the white walls in the background” is to purchase a cheap solid color bed sheet (preferably dark tones, maybe blue) and mount it from the ceiling behind you. You could use a couple of J-bolts (in the ceiling) and some pony clips to stretch and hold your new background up.
